Building Materials & Industrial Production
Turkmenistan continues to expand domestic industrial production in support of construction sector growth, import substitution and supply chain localisation.
Recent industrial investment has significantly strengthened the country’s building materials base, with new production facilities supporting the domestic supply of ceramics, glass and finishing materials used across residential, commercial and infrastructure development.

A major milestone in this process was the launch of the Baherden ceramics complex in Ahal Region — a major modern ceramic production facility supporting Turkmenistan’s construction materials sector. Equipped with international production systems and certified to recognised standards, the facility strengthens domestic supply capacity while reducing dependence on imported finishing materials.

This was followed by the commissioning of a new glass production facility in Ashgabat, designed to supply high-quality glass products for the construction sector using locally sourced raw materials. The project supports both manufacturing localisation and more efficient domestic sourcing of industrial inputs.
Together, these investments reflect a broader industrial policy focused on materials localisation, production efficiency and long-term construction supply resilience.
